From the upscale decorating in the condos to all the modern amenities, they have all the creature comforts of home. Also, if you want to save on dining out, suites come with fully equipped kitchens to prepare a meal. I did this for my kids when we first moved to Florida. It was so much fun & saved me a ton of money. When the kids got done school everyday, I packed them in the car and headed over to the Disney® water-parks. We were home in time for dinner & had a great time catching up on our day.
If you live in Florida or are one of those lucky “snowbirds” who owns their second home there, you may qualify for the Florida Resident Passes at all the major theme parks. I’m told you will have to produce a copy of the deed and proof you are here most of the year if it’s a second home. However, what a great way to spend your time!
It’s so worth the savings. You can pop in for those special festivals, grab a bite to eat, or relax on the beach at the water-parks. Make it an evening out, or a weekly get-together with friends. Now, this is what I call “The Travel Stacker Hacker” for travel. Sign up for the Discover travel card by clicking on the picture below.
Go to MyPoints.com by clicking on the highlighted word in this sentence. When you get there, sign up and peruse all the places you shop at already.
Next, go to eGifter.com by clicking on the highlighted word in this sentence also. Peruse all the gift cards you’ll purchase for special events & holiday gifts.
Now, do all your shopping with your Discover card on MyPoints.com. And, Buy all your gift cards on eGifter.com with your Discover card. As you do this, you get points for EVERY DOLLAR SPENT at MyPoints & eGifter. Each company you purchase from on those sites give different points per dollar spent.

The last way I’ve found to take advantage of discounts is at the off property consultant stations around Orlando. You’ve probably seen them & didn’t know what they were.
Throughout Orlando, in some convenience stores, gift shops & the outlets, you’ll see kiosks with signs saying ” Get your discounted (or free) theme park tickets here!” So you know, this will probably get you less than the other options. You will have to sign up for a timeshare tour at one of the local vacation clubs to get the tickets. But, they are usually limited on how much they can get discounted since you’re not staying on the property.
